Chasing a Dream That Started the Week I Was Born

From daughter to founder — how MAEVE Boutique came to life.

They say timing is everything, and in my case, it truly was. The same week I entered this world, my mom opened the doors to her very first business. While she was welcoming me into her arms, she was also stepping boldly into entrepreneurship — building her franchise from the ground up, with love, grit, and a whole lot of faith.

Growing up, I watched her pour herself into her business. I saw the early mornings, the late nights, the decisions that no one else could make, and the pride that came from creating something of your own. She built more than just a store — she built a legacy, a work ethic, and a quiet confidence that shaped me in more ways than I can count.

Now, 27 years later, I get the rare gift of walking this path with her by my side. As a business coach, she’s not only my biggest inspiration — she’s my mentor, my sounding board, and the one helping me carve out my own way. We’ve come full circle: the same woman who built her dream while holding a newborn now gets to help that baby — me — build one of her own. MAEVE Boutique is as much ours as it is mine, and I’ll forever be grateful for that.

So when I dreamed of MAEVE Boutique, it didn’t feel like a brand-new idea. It felt like coming home to something that’s always been there.

MAEVE was born from the soft, intentional love I have for my niece and nephew, and the unwavering loyalty of my dog Maeva — my first “baby” and the heart behind the name. But it was also born from years of watching what it means to build something that matters and branching off into entrepreneurship. My mom showed me that business isn’t just about numbers or products. It’s about purpose, connection, and showing up every single day, even when it’s hard.

Creating MAEVE Boutique has been one of the most rewarding and vulnerable experiences. There are moments filled with excitement and momentum — and others where self-doubt creeps in. But then I remember where I came from. I remember that the same week my mom brought me into the world, she also took her first brave step. And now, 27 years later, I get to take mine.

I created MAEVE Boutique to bring something meaningful into the world: soft, sustainable, bamboo babywear that’s as gentle on the planet as it is on your little one’s skin. Every piece is crafted with intention — because I believe that even the smallest details deserve care.
